Born
in Berkeley, CA, DJ DAETA has been
putting it down on the ones and twos
for quite some time now. At the age
of 24, he has already established
himself as one of the very notable
DJs in the Bay Area. From rocking
parties and clubs to orchestrating
top notch mixtapes and cutting it
up on wax, Daeta has done alot.
Throughout his DJ profession Daeta
has rocked numerous clubs, parties,
shows, and events throughout California.
In the Bay Area club scene alone,
he has played such notable venues
as Club Glo, The DNA Lounge, Studio
Z, Cow Palace (Cyberfest), Cactus
Club, Milk Bar, Suite 181, Ruby
Skye and the Elbo Room. Daeta has
also appeared on many Hip Hop artists
songs, providing his scratching
skills and lacing them with top-notch
hooks, such artists includes Abyss,
Mikey Mo The MC, Forensic Science,
Aesop (Living Legends), Shux, Detane,
The Muse10 Project, and many other
indie Hip-Hop acts on the West Coast.
During the past few years Daeta
has been gaining major recognition
through various projects and appearances.
As part of Muse10 Music, Daeta provided
majority of the cuts on The Muse10
Project (2004), which is a Hip-Hop
compilation produced by Dok and
Spoon. In 2004, Daeta joined forces
with Abyss and became his official
DJ. Aside from rocking shows together,
Daeta also showcases his scratching
skills on Abysss debut album, FROM
NOW ON. Playing double duty, Daeta
is also the DJ for Mikey Mo The
MC for rocking shows and cutting
it up on all his albums. In 2005
Daeta released his debut mixtape
on 3sixty5 Records titled, BOOTY
TWAPS, featuring classic Hip-Hop
joints from A Tribe Called Quest,
Pete Rock and C.L Smooth, Pharcyde,
Brand Nubian, Dead Prez, LL Cool
J, The Roots, Slick Rick, and many

coming in 2008. You can also find
Daeta on Mikey Mo's mixtape, HUNGER
PAINZ 1 and 2 & MUFFIN MAN cutting
it up.
Daeta is also a member of The Jimi
Handtrix Crew. With an all-star
line-up, this twelve member group
consists of some of the dopest turntablist
and producers in Hip-Hop: DJ Daeta,
DJ Presto One (Rock Steady Crew),
DJ Havik (Beat Junkies-Zulu Nation),
DJ Deuce Ace (Zulu Nation), DJ Earwaxxx,
DJ Jugaknot (aka charlie darker),
Silent John, P.H.I.L (Mighty Zulu
Kings), and four members that just
recently joined the crew> DJ
P(djpmix.com), DJ REDEYE(scratch
phenom) ,Dj Fuse One(EOF records)
and DJ Verz.. Daeta and his crew
The Jimi Handtrix was part of The
West Bound Tour in 2005 in which
they held down the DJ role throughout
the whole tour.
Recently, Daeta just got off being
the tour DJ for The Gold Chain Music
Tour featuring Planet Asia (GCM/Liquor-Barrel),
Casual (Hieroglyphics), Flii Stylz
(Rize/Liquor-Barrel), Rasco (Dick
Swanson), DJ E-Rock (Bomb Bay Radio/Sirius/Liquor-Barrel),
and Cali Agents (Planet Asia/Rasco).
Also, Daeta just finished up recording
for the WEST BOUND album where he
is featured on two tracks. WEST
BOUND consists of Mikey Mo The MC,
Abyss, & Dap Daniel and is considered
to be one of the hottest Hip-Hop
album to come out of The Bay Area.

Now residing in San Diego, California
Daeta has made moves to earn recognition
in the southern California community.
Playing at venues such as Kava Lounge
and Honey Bee Hive. As part of EarthBound
Radio, Daeta airs a show every Tuesday
night with his TruSkool Tuesday
crew; Dj Norm Rocwell, Dj Gaveegav
and thier hosts; Obskure, Jusjee
and SuperV. The show can be heard
on Itunes and at www.twelvez.com,
with listeners in over 25 countries.
Bringing his own brand of turntablism
to the 3sixty5 family, Daetas style
incorporates an arsenal of scratching
techniques and a natural talent
for mixing. With the ability to
cut it up on wax and rocking clubs,
he will continue to become one of
the most well rounded DJs out there.
